Grew up in Portland. Recently unemployed, now a digital nomad based out of Corvallis, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
I was homeless as a young man and joined the Navy at 17, where I worked as an aviation electronics technician aboard the USS Kitty Hawk with the Golden Dragons. After that I played in punk and rock bands up and down the West Coast, rode freight trains from Oregon to Florida and back, and made it through winters in Alaska out of a backpack and a sleeping bag.
I've been a legislative aide, a digital campaign coordinator, a cook, a chef and a dishwasher. In forestry management I worked as both an administrator and a foreman at the same place. I once spent three godforsaken months in West Virginia.
These days I'm in my early 40s and live in a 33-foot RV on a friend's property. I make music and follow politics and economics closely. I don't game much anymore; I play with AI instead. Right now I feel lost in the morass of bad news about jobs and AI.
I built this site because I like making random things with AI, and GitHub is too same-same. GitHub is also the wrong place for a thesis on post-scarcity economics, or for what diesel prices have to do with the coming election. If you know me, this is where you can see what I'm up to and reach me wherever I am.
