MOD_02 // Odd idea demo
A password where every character also has a rotation. Type a key, turn each letter to an hour on the dial, and the vault checks both.
Ready. Click here and type.
A–Z type · ←→ pick a letter · ↑↓ spin it · Enter go
Change the word, and click its letters to spin them. Then build the same key above.
Two codes still work from the original: SNAKE with the E at 6:00 opens Snake 3D, and CLASSIC with the last C at 6:00 opens the old SecureSpin.
The note is encrypted in your browser and lives only in the link. Nothing is sent to this site. This is a demo, so keep real secrets out of it.
No sealed note loaded. Open a SecureSpin link someone sent you, or paste one here.
The math
Time for an attacker to guess it, at 10 billion tries a second.
Each character can sit at one of 12 hours, so every spin multiplies the number of possible keys by 12. That works out to about 3.6 bits a character.
A longer password buys the same strength. The spin's real trick is that you can't say the key out loud, and you can't type it into a normal password box.
These numbers assume random characters. A dictionary word is much weaker than its length suggests, spun or not.
